October 7, 2023

On October 7, 2023, the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park and the CRG, reopened their doors for the popular annual outreach event, celebrating the important role of public engagement in scientific endeavors.

Once again, the Open Day provided a unique opportunity for Barcelona’s children, students, and curious citizens to immerse themselves in the realm of biomedical research. Thanks to a diverse range of activities, from workshops to lab tours, attendees delved deep into the fascinating fields of lifescience.

Researchers Dr. Eimear Byrne and Marta Cadevall Anglès, working in the Cosma lab on the ECaBox project, engaged over 70 visitors with discussions on their ongoing research in retinal regeneration. They also presented our ambitious ECaBox project, sparking curiosity in the visitors!

The event left participants and volunteers uplifted and enthusiastic, promising a return next autumn. Stay tuned on our Twitter account for announcements and plan your visit!
